Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Antenna with RF Absorber
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna configurations with the antenna radiation elements disposed on a duriod substrate and separated at less than half the wavelength. A radio frequency (RF) absorber is incorporated with the antenna to limit the interference. The addition of the RF absorber improves isolation to -15 dB compared to the conventional MIMO antenna with an isolation of -7.3 dB. A benefit of the antenna’s improved performance is the smaller footprint required, which allows for miniaturization.
