Oxide-based Nanostructures: Methods of Fabrication and Applications
A fabrication technique for the synthesis of oxide-based nanowire heterostructures using sputter deposition. This method is cost-effective and scalable. It allows for the production of nanostructures on a substrate without the use of temaples. Additionally, the process is completely dry and allows for the fabrication of nanowire heterostructures with tunable compositions and morphologies. Prototypes of CuO-Co3O4 nanowire heterostructures have been fabricated and experimental parameters tuned to optimize bandgap energies and photocatalytic activity.
