Self-Healable and Ultrastretchable Ternary Polymer Advanced Materials for Multidimensional Strain Sensors
The technology comprises a novel polymer composite, which can be used for strain sensing. This invention is extremely stretchable and possesses the ability to self-heal quickly without any intervention.
This is useful for applications in healthcare, defense, entertainment, prosthetics, robotic systems, and sports. The stretching capacity of the sensor is far greater than any current methods. Additionally, the complete, autonomous self-healing process of the sensor is advantageous as current self-healing methods are imperfect and typically require intervention. The technology has been developed into a bench prototype.
