Wifi – The Next Generation
If you’re anything like me, then you get absurdly –even unreasonably I admit, mad when wifi doesn’t work. I get less mad when it’s slow. The next generation of wifi promises to do both of these things much better than today’s current hardware. From downloading a movie in seconds to getting your wifi through the lights in your ceiling, the next iteration of wifi technology promises to be way cooler than what we are getting now. I wonder what the Comcast help guy will tell you to do when the wifi doesn’t work if it comes through the lights? (Wall Street Journal)
Productivity Hacks That Work
I know I typically blast these productivity articles, but this is one I actually like. Why? Because the person actually did them and reported actual facts from them. She did not simply ask super successful people what they do to be productive. In this article you learn the benefits of eating breakfast every day, exercising in the mornings, something called the Pomodoro technique, and free writing every morning. I’ve been trying to get my dad to the last one since he’s been retired. His response? Too busy. Can you imagine? Having nothing else to do and being too busy to write for thirty minutes every morning? Sheesh. (Hubspot)
Words that make you less boring
You can tell a lot about a person’s vocabulary. Within a few seconds you can probably tell whether the email you’re reading is going to be a snoozefest or a wild ride. If you would like to be more of the latter, I would recommend this infographic of this-not that words. So for example, you might describe yours truly as smart, clever, quick-witted, terrific, superb, exceptional, cheerful, pleasant, jocular, comical, or hysterical. Simply to name a few. (Entrepreneur)
